Nik Naks Glass is an impressive shop by Trisha from Whistler, BC. She creates handcrafted fused glass coasters, plates, jewelry and even Christmas ornaments! Fusing different colours of glass together is an interesting process that you can read about here.
I love all the different colours she uses in her work, and I’ve chosen some of my favourite items to showcase in this post! Trisha (that’s her to the right!) has very generously offered to give away a set of four glass coasters to a lucky reader!
Supporting local shops is important to me, especially during this time of year, so I was super excited to find out that Nik Naks Glass is located just north of me in Whistler!
nik naks fused glass began in 2007 as a fun way for me to express myself and my creativity outside of my day job. It soon became an obsession of mine to be immersed in all things glass and experiment with the many different ways that sheets of glass can be melted and manipulated into different objects such as jewellery and coasters. Although I never seem to have enough time to be in my studio, I enjoy every moment of it and still get excited each time I open my kiln!
What inspires you?
Lots of things inspire my glass work. Every day life, nature, even my kids art work!
What is your favourite thing about Christmas?
Spending time with family, eating lots of good food and enjoying the outdoors – hopefully getting up the mountain for some skiing!
Thanks so much to Trisha for being super generous and giving away a set of coasters! I hope everyone takes the time to check out her shop to check out all the beautiful and handcrafted items you can find at nik naks glass. The contest is open worldwide! Good luck!
